With over a decade of experience in healthcare and career coaching, I combine clinical expertise with a deep passion for equity, inclusion, and empowering professionals to thrive. As a General Practitioner and advocate for Diversity & Inclusion, I’ve worked in various healthcare settings, from primary care to underserved communities, giving me a unique understanding of the systemic challenges and health inequities many face.
My lived experience with disability and chronic illness has further strengthened my resilience and deepened my empathy. It fuels my dedication to creating inclusive systems that support success for individuals facing barriers. This perspective shapes everything I do—from mentoring to advocacy and policy work.
As the founder of the MaverickMed Mentorship Scheme, I specialize in helping international medical graduates, women, and underrepresented groups navigate complex career landscapes. My goal is to help individuals overcome obstacles, secure leadership roles, and excel in competitive environments.
In addition to my clinical work, I’m committed to driving positive change in healthcare. I work to address the gender pay gap, advocate for flexible working arrangements, and collaborate with think tanks, academic institutions, and policymakers to influence healthcare policy.
